CUA's Role

The Catholic University of America was chosen as the 2007 host of the Opus Prize.   

What is CUA's role?

Catholic University…

  • organized the nomination process and assembled an elite jury to review nominations and recommend prize finalists.
  • students and administrators accompanied members of the foundation board on the due diligence visits with the nominees. Meet the students and learn about their visits.
  • is organizing a series of events for students — films, presentations, displays — related to the Opus Prize and the theme of social entrepreneurship and humanitarian service.
  • will welcome the three finalists to campus on Nov. 6-8, when they will meet and interact with students.
  • will host a Mass and dinner in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center on Nov. 8 for the Opus Prize awards ceremony.
