2007 Opus Prize JuryAt the invitation of Very Rev. David M. O’Connell, president of Catholic University, a high-profile jury met at a downtown Washington, D.C., hotel on March 23 to recommend three finalists for the $1 million Opus Prize.
The following individuals made up the 2007 Opus Prize jury
- Librarian of Congress James Billington
- CNN News Anchor Wolf Blitzer
- Sister Carol Keehan, D.C., president and CEO of the Catholic Health Association
- Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, archbishop emeritus of Washington, D.C.
- National Public Radio talk show host Diane Rehm
- NBC News Washington Bureau Chief Timothy Russert
- Special Olympics Chairman Timothy Shriver
- ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent George Stephanopoulos
- Saint Vincent College President James Towey
- Former Washington, D.C., Mayor Anthony Williams
